This week FASHION MAGAZINE asked the Beauty Panel, “what’s your bombshell beauty look?”
Whenever I go out with my friends for a night out, I love to focus on my eyes. Instead of the traditional bridal eye look I always gravitate towards, I like to give my look a little edge by winging out the eyeshadow.
What You’ll Need:
- Primer + Eyeshadows + Highlighter – New York Color IndividualEye Custom Compact in Smokey Greens* – Palette contains purple shadows to bring out green eyes, but works well for brown eyes. Everything you need is in this one compact. It contains a primer, illuminator, and 4 shades of shadow.
- Matte Brown Shadow – NYC Sun ‘N’ Bronze Bronzing Powder in Coney Island Glow* – I love using the matte brown shades as the transition colour.
- Light Shimmery Shadow – L’Oreal La Couleur Infallible in Hourglass Beige* – This is my staple as an inner corner highlight. It adheres well into the skin & provides a beautiful glow.
- Purple Eyeliner – Avon Always On Point Eye Liner in Deep Plum* – Love using a purple eyeliner just to deviate from the norm. Also, there’s no need to sharpen the pencil with this liner and it blends easily.
- Waterproof Mascara – L’Oreal Voluminous Power Volume 24H Waterproof Mascara* – Great for creating volume while lasting all night long.
- Flat Shader Brush – MAC 239 & Real Techniques Shading Brush
- Blending Brush – bdellium tools #776M
- Smudger Brush – Royal Langnickel Silk Greenline Liner
Instructions:
On my nails: Essie Turquoise & Caicos & L’Oreal Top Coat in Confetti.
- Using the palette, apply the “Primer” all over the lid.
- Apply the “All Over Lid” colour to the entire eyelid
- Apply the “Crease” colour to the outer third of the eye
- Blend the “Crease” into the “All Over Lid” colour and wing it out
- Apply the darker “Crease” colour to the outer corner of the eye
- Blend the darker “Crease” colour into the “All Over Lid” colour
- To add more dimension to the eye, apply the “Illuminator” to the centre of the eyelid
- Apply the “All Over Lid” colour on top of the “Illuminator” on the centre of the eyelid
- Apply the “Illuminator” then “Highlighter” underneath the brown bone.
- Apply the matte brown shade to the crease as the transition colour
- Apply L’Oreal Hourglass Beige to the inner tear ducts
- Using the Avon liner, rim the upper and lower lash line
- Using the two darkest shades from the palette, smudge out the liner
- Curl lashes
- Apply generous coats of mascara to the top and bottom lashes
Final Look:
Now I’m ready to hit the town!!
Going out and doing my makeup usually means…SELFIES!
Because the entire eye look was done in layers, it means it was last all night! It’s sad when I get home and have to wash off my beautiful creation. Until next time…
