I can’t believe how quick time flies. It just feels like last weekend where Tess & I were getting set to work our first wedding together. I’m really fortunate to have met so many talented artists and be part of this loving community where we share tips, tricks, and experiences, refer clients to, and even ask one another to assist. This is what happened with Tess & I. Now enough about our budding romance friendship as her husband might get a bit jealous…let’s talk about what’s really important here…Alison + Ian’s Wedding!
Truth be told, I’m really terrible with names. I tend to only remember names if: a) I meet the person face to face and I see their name written down or b) if something happens during our meeting stands out to me. In this scenario, it was Option B. What happened exactly? When I used Alison’s bathroom, I noticed that their shower curtain was a huge map with all the countries listed…even Guyana! Shower curtains like these, don’t pop up frequently. Alison then mentioned how Ian and her love to travel and that was their inspiration.
On the day of the wedding, Alison wanted to a very natural, soft, and luminous look. We kept everything very soft and romantic and even fooled everyone who thought her lashes were real!
For Alison’s bridesmaids, they rarely wear makeup and wanted something more glam but not too far out of their comfort zone. They were so happy with the final outcome and surprised on what a big difference eyebrows can make.
While Tess and I were doing makeup, we kept on seeing this ninja like character going between hotel rooms. This mystery character was Trayc from Blue Rooster Studio. She was so swift and quiet while moving pieces like the dress, shoes, jewellery, & bouquet from one room to another so she could get her money shots.
