It was almost 2 years ago when I decided to take the plunge and invest in myself and further my education by taking an airbrushing course. Initially I was scared as it was a lot of money upfront with the course and equipment. I had anxiety on whether the investment would be worth it and if clients would request it. Since then, airbrushing is the most requested services from my brides.
As we come towards the end of the 2014 wedding season, I like to reflect back on everything I’ve encountered and see what the lessons learned were. During this reflection, I am so glad I decided to really invest in my education and buy the properly products to provide an additional service for my clients.
For Jess + Rob’s wedding, my airbrushing skills were put to the test as all the bridesmaids and Jess wanted to look flawless. They were all impressed on how airbrushing made their skin glow without looking or feeling cakey.
I’m not sure how this happened but on the day of the wedding, I actually forgot to take a before and after photo of Jess. Since her makeup was very similar to what we did during the trial, I have included a before and after photo of her trial in this blog post. The only difference from the makeup done on her wedding day was that we added some false lashes to up the glam factor!
Thank goodness Paul from One² Photography was there to document photos of Jess or else I would have left with no photos of the bride. I want to give Paul a huge shout out and congratulations as he is the preferred vendor at Paradise Banquet Hall. So if you are considering Paradise to be the venue for your next event, take some time to visit Paul as his office is at the venue. Note: Paul still shoots everywhere, not just Paradise.
