When I got an e-mail from a bride wanting to book me, I was in awe. Did I mention she lived in Calgary but having her wedding in Toronto and would be meeting all her vendors for the first time on her wedding day?
Now you understand why I was in awe.
Stephanie was stress-free during the entire morning. She allocated more than enough time to get ready in the morning and just tried to enjoy every moment. Something I will definitely take away from when I do get married.
Stephanie and her entire bridal party were just joking around with one another and had witty comebacks the entire morning. This made my job a breeze especially with all of these naturally gorgeous ladies.
Stephanie’s theme for the wedding was very Great Gatsby 1920’s inspired. Since the hair would be reminiscent of the era, we decided to keep the makeup more modern with natural glowing skin and brown smokey eye.
One of my favourite looks of the day was for one of Stephanie’s bridesmaids. She decided to go all out with the theme by having pin curls, slight winged liner and bold red lips!
Now this bridesmaid never got her makeup fully done before, even for her own wedding. She was scared at the thought of foundation and was impressed on how her face matched her neck & how light it felt! Can I also take a moment to obsess over her eye colour. Depending on the light, it turns green, teal, and even orange!
After I was done with the makeup on my last bridesmaid of the day, she looked at the mirror and said, “can I take you home with me?” Then her 4 year old daughter came up to me and said, “thanks for making my mom look so beautiful!” Gosh, I love with job!
Thank you so much Stephanie for sending me these amazing photos from Dave Abreu Photography!
Side Note: if you ever meet Dave, make sure you ask him for his business card. He has one of the coolest cards I’ve ever seen!
